Finding the Courage to Act: Statement on Annunciation Catholic School Shooting

Our hearts are shattered by the tragedy at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, where children were shot while literally praying. As we grieve together, we must also find the courage to act.

In the days, weeks, and months ahead, I will continue listening to my neighbors and working toward policy solutions that reflect the values of our district. We may not all agree on every issue, but we share a common responsibility to protect our children and ensure our schools, churches, and communities are places of safety and peace.

Out of this darkness, may we find compassion, solidarity, and the resolve to build a safer future for all.
